Best Breweries in Asheville, North Carolina

If you follow me on Instagram (shameless plug @kerrenmanzella), I posted a picture from the beautiful waterfalls of High Falls (another plug, check out my hiking day itinerary to High Falls here) with the caption “the falls flow with beer in this here town”; it does. Asheville has exploded with a vast number of breweries, everywhere you go you are bound to stumble upon a few. Check out my list of the best breweries in Asheville, North Carolina.

New Origin: this place reminds me of a brand new updated tiny home. The aesthetic is great and the contemporary beers on tap are even better.

Cursus Keme: walking distance from New Origin, Cursus Keme screams cool. It’s a refurbished trucking repair warehouse that has used all the wood they had to chop down and created beautiful tables and a tap. May have been my favorite one to visit just because of the vibes.

Burial Brewery: located in the midst of the suburbs, this place has a little bit of everything for everyone. Obviously, there is their fresh beer and multiple offerings from collabs, but they also have their own wine, a full bar, and food. Great spot to spend the day.

Hi-Wire: another really cool brewery spot with a really large beer garden. Great place to spend the day basking in the graffiti all around you. The sour lemonade beer was my fave.

Wicked Weed Funkatorium: if you want to try funky beers, this is your place. I’m a sour beer gal and they have flights specific to your taste. The sour flight was my jam (specifically the watermelon basil sour), but they have a whole bunch to chose from along with a full menu.

Zillicoah: located right on the French Broad River, this place has a huge outdoor space with seating right by the river. Also, they have food trucks serving up authentic Mexican tacos, I was sold on that alone.
