Best Coffee Shops on the Upper East Side

The Upper East Side, like any neighborhood in Manhattan, has a coffee shop at every corner. I've tried just about all being a resident of 10 years, below is my list of the best coffee shops on the Upper East Side.

Ralph’s Coffee

Yup, Ralph Lauren has a coffee shop. They actually have a few locations in NYC you can visit to grab your favorite caffeinated beverage. The UES store is located across the street from their European style storefront flagship on Madison Avenue. It doubles as a great backdrop when snapping a pic of your coffee – if you’re into it (I def am).

787 Coffee

Small Puerto Rican coffee company that offers – their specialty – rum infused coffee. You NEED to try it. Fun fact – I visited San Juan, PR for a few weeks and randomly stumbled upon the original coffee shop and was blown away. 1) Because we totally forgot to even look up where the original shop was and 2) the coffee is just that good. The spot on the UES also offers quesitos, highly recommend grabbing a guava quesito (or any quesito they have) and rum infused coffee.

Ines

I love Ines. My typical coffee order is some sort of espresso and this is hands down one of my all time fave coffee spots. They just do it right. They offer breakfast and lunch along with wine and beer, so you can stop in at anytime. It’s also close to FDR, so it’s a great spot to grab coffee and go take a stroll along the East River.

Hutch and Waldo

Cute Aussie based breakfast and lunch spot serving up great coffee. It gets really crowded on the weekends but a must stop for at least their coffee. Any place with a dog as their logo has my heart.

Greats of Craft

Definitely more of a craft beer joint, but they have a full coffee and spirits bar too – so something for everyone. I’m not really too jazzed about coffee at a brewery – but they do it really well and serve it in a fancy stemmed beer glass. I’m a sucker for great glassware.
